
Well not really. More like he is big into Indian sounds. (Footnote: hip hop’s fascination with Bollywood beats is not new, by the way).
Madlib (he also goes by the pseudonym Quasimoto), more known for his work remixing Blue Note Records classics, has just released Beat Kondukta In India (this is volume 3 and 4 in this new series).
I just got it. The CD’s a mix of Bollywood movie dialog and tunes intersperred with hip hop beats is quite infectious.
There are two versions with different covers. The first CD (the cover copied above) has only the first 16 tracks on it, while the second (newer) version) has the whole 34 tracks (below).
