When it rains, it pours.
There is a flurry of African film-related events in New York City at the moment. The African Diaspora Film Festival is running through December, last week a group of African filmmakers met at New York University and now Film Forum in the West Village will host a retrospective of the late director Ousmane Sembene‘s oevre.
