It is hard to figure out what’s the reasoning behind the cover story of the latest National Geographic –a magazine with a dubious history:
‘For 75 years Nubian kings ruled over ancient Egypt, reunifying the country and building an empire. Until recently, theirs was a chapter of history lost in the shadows.’
Especially since the last part of that statement (’… a chapter of history lost in the shadows’) is a gross understatement. And you don’t have to be an Afrocentrist to notice how ridiculous that claim sounds.Â
