The former South African national cricket captain (and brilliant batsman), Hansie Cronje [he (died in a plane crash], who took bribes to fix international matches (and blamed Satan), and whose teammates from that time, still revere him, is now the subject of a campaign by his brother to rescue his “legacy.” A new film, “Hansie,” by Cronje’s brother, Frans, is being released next month, according to Cricinfo.com.

You may recall that Robert Mugabe expressed sympathy with Hansie Cronje during his trial, noting that the Devil makes him do bad things sometimes too. (Unfortunately, we didn’t realize exactly how extensive Lucifer’s influence was at the time).
I was being tongue in cheek.
Yes Hansie was a wonderful man, we all do things that are wrong at times. But he stays a legand & fan of mine sinse the start of his Cricket. To the terrible day that his life was taken in a plane accident. I have been a fan of his & still have all his signed bat & hat & tee shirt. I’m 65yrs old & his film is going to prove to people that he was a wonderful guy, with the a lovely smile & Charater he showed.( l will take a box of tissue’s with to the movie’s) regards Margaret.
