New York Magazine is working for John McCain.
Italian Vanity Fair recently tracked down Barack Obama’s half-brother, George, who lives in poverty in Nairobi, Kenya. This gives New York Magazine the opportunity to act like they can predict what McCain’s surrogates can do with this information, while exposing their own racism in the process. The best part:
…[D]iscussion of the poor, distant brother remind older white voters that Barack Obama is really black (like, Africa black) …
You can’t make up this bigotry passing as cleverness.
Footnote: This is weird since the magazine’s last issue contained an article that went to the heart of why some whites will vote for McCain.
there is a gigantic identity crisis in the u.s. barak obama is not african american. he is an american. since the early 60′s this country has had an identity crisis. the black people brought it up to the forefront because they are of a different color and their ancestors where slaves. i was born in cuba, i came to this country as an exile because of the revolution that changed the government in my country. those who had sympathized with the previous regime where been hunted down by fidel and executed by che guevara. i became a citizen in 1978, knowing that as soon as i swore allegiance i would be an american. an american ! not a cuban american. thie people in this country need to realize that we are americans living in the united states. anything else is absolutely ludicrous. we cannot go around saying that we are italian america, jewish american, irish american, etc. it is ridiculous. we are americas belonging to the united states of america. nothing more. barak obama is mulato, half black and half white, to make references to dr. martin luther kings speech on this day, an american,by every right given to him by the constitution, and alluding that mr. obama is a result of that dream, is misleading. if i remember dr. king said that he sees the day when all god,s children , jews ,catholics, protestants , white ,black, yellow, red. will be united as one. i’m voting for barak obama , not because he is black, but because he has the right answers to my questions. the fact that he looks like he looks is no determining factor. if he was white and looked like his mother ,would he still be the first “african american ” running for president?
