The Goode Family, is a new animated series on ABC TV (by the people who made “Beavis and Butthead” and “King of the Hill”) about a politically correct, middle-class American family. The first episode was flighted last week. They’re the Goode family, because they always want to do good. So they reycle, drive a hybrid, and don’t eat meat. Even the dog is a vegan.
They also adopted an African baby. From South Africa: “… Gerald and Helen thought they were doing the right thing by adopting a baby from Africa, only to learn that Ubuntu was South African . . . and [a] white [Afrikaner].”
And as with things African, “Ubuntu” gets mangled as “uh-boon-two.”
[The character is voiced by the actor, Dave Herman, in the picture above, with Ubuntu's likeness]
Ridiculousness ensues.
