The stable, democratic government of Zimbabwe (move on, nothing going on here) yesterday announced its new $10 million banknote, the equivalent of $4 in U.S. currency or it can buy you two-thirds of a hamburger in Britain (although a Zim expert reminded me hamburgers are a bad comparison as fast food is a luxury item for most, and only a necessity for the ‘masalads‘ — that’s the middle class, suburbanites in Harare) .
